Jeanne rtArc ran Into quick forward attendance on the pacemaker, was reserved in the early running and drew out cantering midway of the stretch. Earls Court, from a flying start, set the pace for nearly six furlongs, but on sufferance as far as Jeanne dArc was concerned, and was a game second. Black Mary ran in forward and persistent pursuit throughout and finished wearing Earls Court down for second place. County Fair, from an Inside slow start, lost ground early and closed a gap in the last half. Uncle Toby, away poorly, closed a big gap on the extreme outside in a fast finish. Quantico. well up throughout, tired In the closing strides. Personal steadily improved her position from a bad start and is extra good. The winner was entered for ,000: no bid. Harlem Maid dashed into the lead quickly andset a stiff pace throughout, but tired and just lasted long enough in a game finish. Dr. Holzberg ran in nearest and strenuous pursuit of the leader from the start and finished wearing her down slowly. Prince Gal was reserved in striking distance pursuit in inside close quarters in the middle running and finished gamely, hut unavaillngly. Grania ran forwardly and gamely throughout, is a stayer and in good form. Edwin L., well up in the early running, quit badly in ihr stretch. Calash ran prominently throughout and. while tiring and swerving badly In the last quarter, held on persistently in the closing strides. Harvey F., outpaced early, was gaining well in the stretch. Genindn lapped the pacemaker for-nearly five furlongs, then quit, but Is improving. Interpose had a bad start and lacked his usual speed. Outpost finished well. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. Bonnie Kelso broke last and was patientlv reserved for a half mile, then moved up into close pursuit of the pacemaker, drew out when his rider was ready in the stretch and won off pulling up finally. lieaucoup. under waiting tactics, was pulled up and hauled all over the course for the first mile and could never get np. but made a fast closing effort. The Peer, well up from the start, was rated steadily into a fast going and close up third. Pins and Needles trailed for the first mile and gained rapidly afterwards, but was never dangerous. I.llile Hov came fast from the rear in the last sixteenth and would have Ihtii second in another stride. Glen Helen broke slowly, but ran forwardly for the last half. Flashing was prominent to the stretch, then quit ha illy. Christina was In close quarters and pulling up frequently in the last quarter. Bang, awav poorlv. lacked speed and can do better.
