Paul Davis, was in forward contention from the start ;and forced a fast pace, then took the lead, stood the final drive gamely and just lasted long enough. Inflection set the early pace and. in a resolute finish, was unlucky to lose, as Paul Davis was crowding her through the last sixteenth. Bob Co. met with slight interference in the first quarter, but came with a rush in the stretch and was going fastest at the end. Anthropaida ran a good race. G. M. Miller moved up with a rush on the stretch turn, but tired in the last furlong. Amanda Leo was given a bad ride and taken out of contention In the first quarter. Cooney K. was restrained for the first three furlongs and attempted to run out in the stretch, but finished with a rush and took second place in the last stride. Sal Volatile showed the most early speed, but tired badly In the last furlong. Jubilee Juggins came from a long way back in the last quarter and ran well. Colored Lady ran well for the first half. Waterway was much the best and should have won of witlr a good ride. Byzantine went well, but tired over the last three jumps. Bergoo showed siieed aufl fenced well for the first fifteen jumps, then tired. Reginald was leading by nearly a sixteenth, when Me bolted. Sir Wooster fell at the sixth jump. Mae Henley was in prominent contention all the way and but for swerving a trille in the last few strides would have won. Shepherds Song ran a good race and, forcing a fast pace most of the way, finished resolutely. Betty lister was taken wide for the entire trip. Scruples had no mishaps. Kyle was in close quarters during the first three furlongs. Lady Bass and Adaila 4inlt after going a quarter. Belle Kingston set the early pace, but quit badly. The latter, hard ridden for the entire trip, inoved up gamely in the last sixteenth and outstayed Keep Moving at the end., Keep Moving was prominent for the entire trip. Cruche ilOr came from a long way back in the last quarter and would have been much closer up hut for a slow beginning. The others were outpaced all the way. Gamara broke down.
