SELECTMAN WINS RACE FOR KEENE. London. Eng.. September 9. James R. Kcenos lhree-vear-old. Selectman, by oter Pink Domino, carried 114 pounds to victory in the Wharncliffe Three-Year-Old Handicap Plato of 200 sovereigns, distance seven furlongs, at Doncaster today. lhere were fourteen starters. J. P. Parkwrlghts I.attie-axo. with 121 up. was second, and Sir . Bass Atropia. with .15. was third. The Portland Handicap Plate of SOO sovereigns, added to a sweepstakes of ten sovereigns each, for three-vear-olds and upward, distance live furlongs and 152 yards, was won by A. II. Lodlies Anierlcus iirl bv" Anierlcus Palotta. Elmsteail was second and Indian Runner third. Among the seventeen starters was August Belmonts Prlscilllan.
