The World lias this special from Dublin: "Richard Croker has raced Ids last horse. lie has definitely abandoned the turf as a race horse owner, and henceforth lie will devote himself to breeding thoroughbreds for sale. Glencairn is an ideal place for training and breeding horses, and Mr. Croker should before long become a rival to Sir Tatton Svkes, the earl of Clomnel and other famous breeders. All his race horses in training wen; sold the other day, to the great regret of all sporting Ireland, to which Croker lias been a big benefactor. Mr. Croker gives lip racing somewhat disgusted, if not embittered, by his experiences. He lias always raced with absolute stralghtness, but he has been iu the hands of a succession of men who fleeced him. Not only did lie spend an immense sum as a race horse owner, but whenever he had a good thing lie Usually found that others to whom ids stable secrets Were known beforehand were getting the cream of the odds from the bookmakers, while Mr. Croker had to lie content with the skimmed milk. I haves finished subscribing for motor cars for the bookies. he remarked grimly to a friend with whom he was at the llioenix races the other day. In fact, Mr. Croker gave up betting a couple of years hack. He will still patronize tin; race tracks, but onlv to see other mens horses run. "That Mr. Croker has been losing in connection with bis racing venture is well known to his friends, and also that lie has been one of the softest marks that ever went from America to England,"
