CANDIDATES FOR THE HARBOR HILL. New York, September 14. Morton and Charles Schwartz, the young Wall street operators who recently bought eight promising yearlings at the Fasig-Tipton Companys sales and gave them to "Bub" May to break and train, are schooling a smart three-ycar-ohl fencer for the coming Harbor Hill. Steeplechase at Belmcnt Park. Nestor, a brown gelding by Golden Garter, out of Amourette, and a brother to Girdle, a filly with which the late William C. Whitney, won the Great Fillv at Siieepshead Bay in 1902, is their candidate, ile is in the stable of William Garth, the Airginian who prepared T. S. Martin for his victory in the Harbor Hill of 1900. Nestor has taken to jumping as a duck takes to water. Mr. Garth is of the opinion that he can get the gelding to" then ost .in conilition to make a first-class showing in the Harbor Hill. Thomas Hitchcock. Jr., has been devoting his attention to the preparation for this race of Clockwork and Oakhurst. two unsexed sons of Ogden, out of Set Fast anel Helen Thomas, since his return from France in June. Mr. Hitchcock won last years Harbor Hill with Stokes, another son of Ogelen, now one of the most promising steeplechasers in France. .Tauies AV.
