NOTES OF THE TURF. The steeplechase .contingent is trying to persuade Secretary Rehberger of the Queens County Jockey Club to add some jumping races to the Aqueduct program. G. Rhiuock is out with a signed denial that he has had any negotiations witli L. A. Cella for the purchase of Latonia Jockey Club stock. Ho says that he would rather sell than buy, but adds that he would purchase at his own price. Imprenablc, said to be one of the best-looking two-year-olds in France, is likely to be sent to England next month to fulfill his engagement in the Middle Park Plate. He is bv Flving Fox La Camargo and belongs to M. Edmond Rhine. Robert Flick, a jockey who some years ago rode for "Bishop" Poole and Charles Rowe. has left this country for -Mexico. Flick has arranged to ride for Fred Carter, who Is training a big stable for L. Blum. The Blum horses will race this winter on the Florida courses. Yearling entries for the Great Filly Stakes of 1910 and for the Lawrence Realization of 1911 will be due at the offices of the Coney Island Jockev Club on October 4. The Great Filly of 1910 will pay ,500 in added money and the Lawrence Realization of l.lll will pay ,000. S. W. .Streett has purchased from the Lexington Stable the three-year-old brown gelding. Blackford, for ,100. Edward F. Hughes, who handles the horses of tho Lexington Stable, had the Hamburg liorse in his possession only a few hours after claiming him when he decided to accept a reasonable profit on his investment.
