Woodlane set a fast earlv pace, raced Coonev K. into defeat in the first half mile and then drawing away outstayed C. W. Burt when the latter challenged in the stretch. C. W. Burt was on the outside of the loaders all the way. made a game effort after entering the homestretch, but tired under a drive. Cooney K. ran well under slight restraint to the furlong post and was on the inside for the entire trip. Carthage went falrlv well. Jubilee Juggins showed early speed. Fearnaught II.. crowded I back soon after the start, gained steadily, but the gap be closed told on him at the end and he tired. Hedge Rose was off in a tangle and simply cantered in behind her opponents all the way. Merman closed a huge gap. Adalia and Compton showed speed. The winner was entered for 00; no bid.
