ANSWERS TO QUERIES. I Communications without names and addresses will not be noticed nor answered. No answers will I be sent by mail and none by wire unless reply pre-paymcnt is made at time of wiring query. F. L., Milwaukee. Wis. Ordinary bookmaking was the betting system used at the Latonia fall meeting of 1005. Fred M. I!.. Chicago. The parlay was void as to The Monk and Adjustor and won as a single place bet on Grcenvale. W. II. W., Cincinnati. O. No horse belonging to Mr. Seagram ran in race S49SS and the bet on Seagram entry was a draw. J. 15., Cincinnati. O. The Montpelier Stable horses belong to R. T. Wilson. Jr. The bet on the Wilson entry, having been accepted, should be paid. F. A.. Chicago. The Picket and Africander did not meet in a two-horse race, but they eame near to doing so in the September Stakes at Shecpshead Bav September 8. 1903. The starters were The Picket. Africander and Beverly, anil the finish in the order of their names as given here. W. and Co., Covington, Ivy. Inder the rules governing racing, a horse cannot be an "also eligible" without having been properly entered for I he race. AH owner with several horses entered . may notify an otlicial that it is his intention to start a certain oiie or two of them, but that notice Is not binding upon him.
