EDDIE DALE SHOWS QUALITY WATERHOUSE COLT WINS HANDICAP AT OAKLAND FROM GOOD OPPOSITION. Henderson and Hogan Win First Juvenile Race of Year for Fillies with Daughter of Yankee and Radiance Investigation Into Betting. San Francisco, Cal., January 3. Eddie Dale again showed himself to be a good colt by winning the Aesuvian Handicap from good opposition at Oakland today. Pawhuska ruled favorite for the race. He weakened after showing early speed and finished third. Eddie Dale took the lead In the final quarter and won from Pay Streak. Henderson and Hogan won the first race of the season for two-year-old fillies with Acguin, a daughter of Yankee and Radiance, beovillo beat the barrier with the lillv. The judges are determined to stop rough riding and fined three boys therefor. In the first race Tap-Iin. who rode Fountain Square, was assessed 5 ami it cost Pickens the same amount for crossing over with, Bonnie Bard. KIrschbaum was fined 0 for crossing 111 front of Pay Streak and Pawhuska with Lddie Dale. Bonnie Bard was bid up from to ,400 by A. Peu,n"- but was retained. C. P.
