TIPPY, prominent from the start, wore MONTY FOX down after entering the homestretch and easily dreiv away into a long lead at .the end. AGXAR closed a gap and outstayed the tiring MONTY FOX in the stretch racing. The latter ontbroke the others and drew away into a good lead in the first quarter, hut quit iii the filial furlong. SCRIMMAGE, a slow beginner, gained steadilv into a close up fourth. MIXTA and HERBERT TURNER ran fairly well. MISSIVE and YXCA showed speed, but both quit in the stretch. AL THORPi: was much used in racing with PHARAOH for the first half and tired in the streteh. BERT IS on I broke the others, but quit after" going a quarter in the lead. EAUL OF RICHMOND, under a good ride, ran to his best form, set the pace and only gave way in the last sixteenth. SPINDLE finished well and easily disposed of THE MONK in the last furlong. SOU bled and STAR OVER bolted to the outside fence on the lirst turn. Overweights Spindle. 3 pounds.
