WANT TO EXTEND OGDEN MEETING. Ogden, Utah, May 10. Perfect racing weather attracted a fine crowd to the races here today. A card well filled witli contention made speculation brisk in the ring. The feature race of the day was n handicap at three-quarters of a mile, which proved an exciting .contest and, although the result was somewhat of a surprise to the followers of form, the winner, Marchmonet, was not overlooked by the smart sot. The success of four of the favorites again proved disastrous to the ring, which has been losing steadily throughout the meeting, the racing having been exceedingly formful since the opening. The increasing daily attendance and improved conditions generally have so encouraged the management that Ihev have asked the approval or the Pacific Jockey Club Tor an extension of the meeting until .May 27. which will cover nine days more than the dates originally allotted.
