NOTES OF THE TURF. "Doughnuts" Harrington, who rode for .Tamc3 Coffey iu California, is now attached to the stable of August Belmont and will be given a chance to do some lightweight riding. Among the two-year-olds recently added to August Belmonts stable at Pimlico are Lucky Lass, a brown filly by Ormondale Lux Casta and Wildwced, a chestnut filly by Ethelhert Woodbine. Superintendent Gorman has Belmont Park in condition for a race meeting at short notice. The track rails and stewards stand were restored some time ago and the harrows have been at work ever since. Horses are galloping over the big course every morning. R. F. Carman is still seeking horses to strengthen bis powerful stable. He has asked J. 11. Meade to put a price on Chapultepec, which lioat his Derby candidate. Meridian, in record time for three-quarters at the Lexington track last Saturday. Mr. Meade is not anxious to sell. Richard T. Wilsons two-year-old bay colt Devil-stone, by Yankee Devlltree, has been shipped from Belmont Park to Pimlico. His ankles were punch fired last fall. He has been well schooled from the harrier and has worked fairly well.
