RACING GOSSIP FROM THE EAST. New York, August 21. Matt Allen has no intention of letting up on his horses, as he intends, if any meeting occurs hereabout this fall, to be ready. His horses all look robust and healthy and are within a few sharp moves of being up to their best form. The Koliler horses, which Mr. Allen took over a few weeks ago, are all doing nicely, especially Chickasaw, now a grand-looking four-year-old. Archie Zimmer has been looking about for some new material for fall and winter racing. He has priced a few horses. Frank Regan, who has been going along patiently with Ardrl, has him up and going as good as ever. He gave him a good rest and also went over his legs witli a few good blisters. There is not a blemish on him now. Frank Frisbie has given up the idea of shipping Pharaoh and Appassionata to Canada and has let up on both of them. He will race at Pimlico.
