HORSES WORKING WELL OVER NEW TRACK. Spokane. Wash., September 8. The Coour dAlene race meeting, which opens next Monday, is having a splendid effect on stake events scheduled for the Spokane Interstate Fair tlie week commencing October 2, entries for all events breaking all previous records. Secretary Robert II. Cosgrove anuouuees that the Spokane Derby entries total over thirty-five, the greatest number ever received, while other running events show entry lists of from thirty to forty-five horses. Recent work-outs at the new Alan track included the following Belle of Iroquois Half mile in 49. Blondy Five-eighths in 1:03. Daddy Oip Five-eighths in 1:02. Ed Ball and Military Man Half mile in 50. Enlield Five-eighths in 1:02; well in hand. Jim Mulvehill Quarter mile in 25. Royal Tea Half mile in 50. Sterlin Three-eighths in 3C. Ymir Quarter mile in 21.
