BIT OF FORTUNE was outrun for the first half, but moved up fast in the final quarter and, standing a drive gamely, caught GOOD INTENT tiring and was drawing out at the finish. GOOD INTENT displayed great early speed, but was tiring fast at the end. MISS GREENWOOD came from far back in the final quarter. EBMOND ADAMS ran well up early, but tired badly. IRISH GENTLEMAN, off badly, moved up rapidly and, saving ground by a close stretch turn, finished with a rush and won pulled up. MQXA CANOMANN broke sideways, but caught JOE MOSER in the first furlong and set a fast pace, then ran out in the stretcli and lost much ground. CHESTER KRUM. much the best, was rated under restraint for a mile and, coming fast when called on, took the lead when a sixteenth from home and won as his rider pleased. ROY JUNIOR ran an excellent race, setting the paco and holding on gamely to the end. ACUMEN closed a big cap into a game third. WHITE WOOL came from far back in the last half. BLONDY ran a fairlv good race. OCEAN QUEEN was done early. DADDY GIP ran well up for six furlongs and so did COLINET, but both quit badly. Overweights Chester Kruni. 1 pound; Dick Baker. 4: Sake. 2. CANTEM set the pace from the start and only succumbed in the closing strides of a good race. KNIGHT OF IVANHOE had a rough journey and finished fast. CHIEF DESMOND retired early. ELECTROWAN showed speed, but tired. MEADA quit after running well to the stretch.
