CARTER, away well, followed SWARTS HILL closely to the half, where he passed into the lead and. drawing away, won in a canter. DOTTIE B. ran a good race and held on well to the end. EDDIE GRANEY rau prominently, but tired near the end. SWARTS HILL set the pace for three-quarters and tired when challenged in the stretch. LOTTA CREED had no mishaps. BOB FARLEY seemed to sulk. SWANNANOA suffered from Interference soon after- the start and had to go around the others, but ran into ii good lead on the backstretch and kept it easily. STAR ORYAN ran forwardly throughout and held on well in the final drive. HOUSEMAID ran well, but was repeatedly taken off her stride in the first half and probably would have been second with better riding. BELL HORSE was badly cut off at the half-mile ground. LITTLE FATHER began last and followed the leader in closest pursuit to the stretch, then wore LOVE-NOT down in the last thrte furlongs and held STINGER safe in the final drive. The latter closed an early gap and i was going fast and gamely at the finish. LOVE-NOT acted badly at the post and set a tremendous pace, then tired in the stretcli. CHAPULTEPEC ran fairly well. ROUND THE WORLD finished gamely and will improve. HARRIGAN ran a fast half and had no mishaps. Overweights Love-Not. 2 pounds. QQPQ1 FOURTH RACE 1 Mile and 20 Yards. DONAU ran in closest pursuit to the stretch and tired in the last quarter. ANGELUS quit after going a good three-quarters. BOUNCER showed speed for tlie first half. STICKER finished fast.
