HILDRETH GOES ABROAD IN JANUARY. New York, November 27. S. C. Hildreth announces that he will leave for England with the horses of Charles Kohler In January, by which time his personal affairs in this country will be closed up. Concerning his recent flying trip to England, Mr. Hildreth said: "Few stabling quarters are unoccupied in the vicinity of the larger race courses, but I have three in view close by tho most famous grounds that are suitable for training a stable of good proportions. And, say," continued he, "anybody who thinks English trainers are a hundred years behind the times, is foolish. They are far ahead of the times. "Horses seem to grow big in England. They have more bone and substance than the general run of horses in this country. Joseph Cannon, who trained Sir Martin, has a two-year-old brother to that famous horse that stands 1G.1. It Is expensive to race in England on account of frequent shipments, but the racing is of high class, and one gets a lot of pleasure out of tho sport. Everything that I saw about English racing was of the highest order."
