STEEPLECHASE JOCKEY LOSES LICENSE. New York, November 27. The stewards of the National Steeplechase and Hunt Association have taken favorable action on a protest filed by G. R. Tompkins against the award and payment of the purse in the fifth race at Pimlico October 13 to W. M. Kerr, owner of Algie. The purse has been awarded to Mr. Tompkins Bello, on the strength of a report of the patrol judge concerning the running of the race and the .license of jockey M. Henderson, who rode Algie, has been revoked as a result of the investigation made into the race. The stewards of the National Steeplechase and Hunt Association have denied the application of Robert Slater for a jockeys license and have granted the following licenses: Trainers J. W. Dayton, George C. Brenton, D. R. Kinney. Jockeys John Buckley, Alfred Henry, W. Hall, H. Smith, Fred P. Barry.
