TALBOTT HORSES IN FORM DENVER HORSEMAN WINS HALF THE CARD AT PALMETTO PARK. Monocacy, Bob. R. and Feather Duster Make Up Winning Trio from Western Stable Showers Improve Charleston Track. Charleston, S. C, December 23. J. 0. Talbotts racing establishment out au extensive figure in tin: Palmetto Park results this afternoon and accounted for half of the card of six races. The Talliott winning trio were at good prices and extensively hacked by their connections, who profited handsomely. The lirst of the successes scored hy the trio came in the six and a half furlongs handicap when Monocacy made a show of some good opposition. The succeeding race, a handicap at one mile and an eighth, had Hob K. as the Tailtott stable representative and he showed a good performance in winning by a narrow margin over the odds-ou favorite, Paiduer, after a long and well-sustained drive. The final TalLott victory came in the closing dash, when Feather Duster led all the way and beat the supposed "good thing," Kiiimuudy. Following Feather Dusters victory came an advance in his selling price of 00 to , but Ik; was retained. J. Scliaffer, whit did the bidding on Feather Duster, also bid up Karl of Savoy, winner of the second race, from an entered price or 00 to 15. hut failed to get him. Heavy showers that tell this morning benefited the track considerably and made the going firmer. An unusually large crowd again witnessed the sport.
