DEPOSIT ran in closest pursuit under restraint to the stretch turn, where ho was forced wide by DAINTY MINT and later suffered from additional interference through DAINTY MINTS riders action in striking him over the head, but finished gamely and won in the last stride. DAINTY MINT showed sudden improvement and much speed in pacemakiug and held on well in the final drive. BULGARIAN wore the others down for third place. RUNWAY ran fairly well. Won driving; second and third the same. EARL OF SAVOY was rushed into the lead in the first quarter and, standing the final drive gamely, lasted long enough to win in a close finish. EARLY LIGHT ran well, was going best at the end and would have won in a few strides more. GOLDEN TREASURE was away slowlv and, closing a big gap, ran a good race. TODDLING set the early pace and was well up most of the way, but tired in the stretch. BRAVE retired after going fairly well for three-quarters. The latter ran won m for the entire race, but was tiring at the end. CRACKER BOX ran a good race, but also tired slightly near the end. LINBROOK showed speed, but tired. STARBOTTLE ran a good three-quarters and tired badly. EL ORO was always outpaced and ean do much better when fit.
