- ROCHESTER -MAY BECOME RACING POINT. Plan Under Way for Weeks Meeting: There Imme. diately Following New York State Fair. New York, December 23. In connection with other race meetings to be held In this state in 1914, it is proposed to hold a fair and race meeting at Crittenden Park track, Rochester, aud if the matter Is finally decided upon, the dates will be September 14-19, following the week of thoroughbred racing iu connection with the State Fair at Syracuse. Crittenden Park, in the past has been used for mixed meetiugs, the harness horses and the runners both participating in the racing. It is contemplated to give two harness races and five running races dally during the meeting to lie held in 1914. The property Is owned by practically racing people and they are familiar with the management of both harness and running meetings. It is but fifteen minutes ride Irom the business portion of the city and the two hundred stalls and grandstands arc iu excellent condition, having been kept so with a view to a revival of racing in the State of New lork. If siiflicient support is accorded this meeting, permanent buildings will be erected upon the grounds and racing for the thoroughbreds and harness horses will be given annually with what will be named the Monroe County Fair and Racing Association.
