NOTES OF THE TURF. Marjorie A. has developed into a bleeder. IC. It. Bradley has booked Whisk Broom to Sweep. Tactics is in training after a winters rest at Charleston.. Palanquin is reported to have gone wrong iu training at Charleston. Lew Marion has Prince Horinis galloping once more at Palmetto Park. Harry Lauder is in training at Charleston and is expected to race before long. R. T. Wilsons chestnut mare Lady Navarre has foaled a chestnut colt by Olambala. F.lla Bryson is reported to be doing well in training at Palmetto Park after a brief let-up. John S. Barboe of Glen-IIelen Stud, will mate a few approved mares to Ormondale on shares. II. II. Hewitts Run of Luck has foaled a chestnut colt bv Peep oDav and will be maied with Coy Lad. J. M. Goodo has leased the running qualities of; Aniotet, Dr. Kendall and Mira Dell from A. K. Hundley and Son. Princess Callawav, which Raleigh Colston is training at Palmetto Park for Jefferson Livingston, is being conditioned for tin early start. It was for unsatisfactory rides on Just Red. Burnt Candle, Sea Cliff and other horses that jockey E. Ilaynes was suspended at Juarez last week. Raleigh Colston has a slashing two-year-old a,t Palmetto Park in Netherbow, by Out of Reach-Belle of St. Louis, which he is reserving for Kentucky racing. Gainer. Garl, Gregg. Gallop, Grasmere and Tritler, of the J. L. Holland string, are again iu active training at Charleston. Gainer is voiorted to have particularly improved by the winters respite. Iron Mask was asked to carry 142 pounds in the Dos Repnblicas Handicap, seven-eighths of a mile, from which trainer Mose Goldblatt declared him to accept the weight of 150 pounds in the Culiaean Handicap, run on the same day at Juarez and in which ho reduced the American record for five and a half furlongs to 1:03. Most of the extensive bettors at Juarez are reported to have operated at a loss this season. Ley Offutt is credited with a loss of 0,000 since be discontinued the laying of odds. Col. W. E. App.e-gate is said to have dropped some 1914.sh,000 in a futile effort to pick the winners and Frank Shannon is also reported to have gone behind since he quit he ranks of the layers.
