i . NEW EASTERN SELLING SURPLUS RULE. The amendment to the rules adopted by tie- locker Club hist Thursday is an amendment lo Rule 127 ami reads: •In rule 127 strike out shall go nae half to the second horse ami the other half to the Pace Fund or to the Race Fund il" no second or third horses be placed. "Add. Shall be equally divided aiucug all start-er« in the race. "So that Rule 127 shall read: " Rule 127. Every horse running in a senium race shall, if the winner, be liable to be claimed for the selling price by the owner of any other horse running in the race, but if it is a condition of the race that the alaail shall be sold by unci ion, the sale- shall lake place Immediately after the race. and the surplus over the selling price shall be equally divided among all starters iu the race."
