l I ■t* + SIRES OF WINNING TWO-YEAR-OLDS OF THE LAST SIX YEARS I J In the course of the six years inclusive-from l.HO to 1015 the stallion Star Shoot sent seventy seven two-year-olds into racing which were successful in one or more races. His highest number in any one year was fifteen iu 1012. In this feature Ogden is the record holder for the time named with his nineteen winning two-year olds in 1 11 4, the expatriated veteran. Cesarion. coming next to him with eighteen in 1010. The champion sire of the last three years. Broomstick, never achieved double figures in this regard until last year, when eleven of his two-year-olds were winners. In all he has thirty-seven for the six years, but tl.ey won more money in racing than did Star Shoots seventy-seven. Comparatively his family is small, but of high quality.
