CAMDENS RESIGNATION IS WITHDRAWN. Lexington. Ky., March 31. — At the request of Governor A. O. Stanley, former senator J. N. Camden today withdrew his resignation as a member of the Kentucky State Racing Commission. The governors request was made to prevent an unseemly contest for Camdens place on the board. Turfmen were practically united in support of Colonel Milton Young, of Lexington, while Judge Allie W. Young, a member of the commission, opposed him on the ground that Colonel Young was personally objectionable to him. The names of John IL Morris, of Woodford county, and George J. Loug. of Louisville, were suggested in the way of a compromise and were acceptable to horsemen, but not wholly so to Judge Young. It is understood that Judge Young preferred Robert L. Baker, of Lexington. The next meeting of the commission will be held in Louisville April 10.
