CESARION STILL GETTING WINNEBS. In America Cesarion gained a reputation as a sire of speedy two-year-olds, and although he did not start stud duty in Australia until he was twenty-one years old to our time β€” he is now twenty-four β€”he would seem likely to further distinguish himself in the direction indicated. At any rate, his daughter Cesarionette won the two-year-old races at the recent Kembla Grange and Wyong Park meetings, and, even allowing that she beat nothing of much account, is at least useful. She is a half-sister to Lord Palmerston. which ran third to Nan-dillvan Maid and Maltchester in the 1908 Australian Jockey Clubs Gimcrnck Stakes, and their dam. Orinda. is by Medallion from Black Swan, by Yuttendon. Lady Trenton, dam of Lord Cardigan, etc., is a half-sister to Orinda. β€” Sydney Referee of February 23.
