THORNCLIFFE STABLE AT WOODBINE. Toronto. Out.. April 1.— Trainer Henry McDaniel transferred the twenty -three horses of the Thorn -cliffe Stable to their quarters at Woodbine Park yesterday. Not a single case of sickness was recorded since the string went into winter quarters late last fall. Twelve two-year-olds and eleven older horses comprise the stable. Hampton Paine will also be trained by Mr. McDaniel again this year. The Plate eligible. Thorncliffe. was fired during the winter. He looks good and is expected to be a much improved horse this spring. Fountain Fay has rounded- out well and looks ex- , ceptionally good. Matt H. and Starcress schooled f well last fall. The latter is regarded as the best j green jumper seen at Woodbine Park la several years. Q Six of the eleven two-year-olds are Canadian- bred and a promising looking band.
