BULSE SHOWING WELL IN EARLY WORK. Lexington. Ky.. April 1. — The most impressive of the large number of gallops at the Kentucky Association course this morning was that of J. W. Parrishs Kentucky Derby candidate. P.ulse, which covered three-quarters in 1:20. Trainer W. J. Young and owner Parrish were highly pleased with the performance. Kinney and Jack ODowd, Derby candidiates from the stable of T. P. Hayes, galloped together three-quarters in 1:22, both hard held. Morning Star and Triad, a couple of likely three-year-old fillies, worked at about the same gait. Starter Harry Morrissey began schooling horses at the barrier. He has set apart three hours each day until the opening of the meeting for this work. The weights for the Camden Handicap appear to have lieen quite generally approved by horsemen here as fair and equitable. Horsemen, in commenting u] on the action of chairman Camden in postponing the meeting of the Kentucky State Racing Commission until April 20. seem to be largely of the opinion that the resolution proposed at the list meeting March 20. by vice-chairman T. Hart Talbot, to permit each association to name its own officials, will be adopted and become effective at once. Jean de Chevigny of France, who has been in this country buying horses for the French government, spent the past week here looking over horses at the various farms. Edward Morelronse, oil" of the directors of the British Blood Stock Agency of London, is expected soon for a stay with Arthur B. Hancock, at Paris, Ky. Foals reported today from Wickliffe Stud were: Bay filly by Disguise — Killiecrankie: black colt by Light Brigade — Colna; brown filly by Hurst Park — Domino Noire; bay colt by Assagai — Tsarina; bay colt brother to Dominant by Delhi — Dominoes. Trainer Charles Hughes was a visitor at the course this morning and returned to Louisville this evening in company with John E. Madden, who has a large string at Churchill Downs.
