CRACK RACER AND GOOD SIRE DIES. Lexington. Ky., June 26. — Nasturtium, 12, by Watercress — Margerique. was found dead this morning in his stable at The Meadows. Death is believed ; to have been due to heart disease. He was all right when put in his stall yesterday afternoon. i Nasturtium was the property of George J. Stoll and was bred by the late James H. Haggiu in I California, who sold him as a yearling to A. L. Aste. and the litter sold him to W. C. Whitney for 0. 000 after he had won a numlier of stakes. including the Double Event, as a two-year-old. He did not pan out to Whitneys epectations. His success in the stud was not brilliant, though he sired several useful horses. Charles McCracken. in charge of the thoroughbred breeding department of Thomas F. Ryans Oakwood Farm in Virginia is here to arrange for the shipment there tomorrow of the stallion Sea King and a half dozen mares and foals belonging to his employer. They have been at John E. Maddens Hamburg Place since last fall. Mr. and Mrs. E. K. Bradley will close their home at Idle Hour Farm tomorrow and leave for Chicago, to remain until the opening of the race meeting at Saratoga.
