MARSE HENRYS PECULIAR INJURY. New York. July 12. The Brighton Stables brown colt Marse Henry met with a peculiar accident Sunday, which, although not apparently serious, may keep him from the races for several days, although trainer Odoni had anticipated starting him Tuesday. One of the stable grooms was passing him witli a bottle lotion of some sort, and just then Marse Henry kicked at a fly. He missed the fly, but struck the bottle, breaking it in many pieces, and a sharp splinter of broken glass cut him deeply on the under side of the pastern. It appears to have severed a small artery, for the blood shot up from the wound nearly to the roof of the shed under which he was standing. The wound was cleansed, dressed and bandaged promptly, and as the injured pastern was neither swollen nor feverish Monday, Oilom hopes to see the son of Ben Brush and Nuns Cloth as well as ever within a week or ten days.
