CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF. One of the straight inutuel machines at Connaught Park has been converted into a combination machine, and if the "across the board" machine becomes popular, a 5 combination will be set up. The grandstand of the Kcmpton course racing plant at Montreal has a seating capacity of 2,000 and will be increased in size before the second meeting of the club, towards the end of September.
