MAY EMULATE MR. SANFORDS EXAMPLE. Lexington. Ky.. August 29. Mr. AV. S. Morlev-Browu. editor of the Sporting Life of London, ami a member of the committee having in charge the British Sportsmens Ambulance fund, at the head of which is the Earl of Lonsdale, writing to a friend in Lexington, expressed great appreciation of Mr. John Sanfords contribution of 250 ,250 to the fund, which is designed to provide one hundred motor cars to be used at the front as ambulances, at a cost of approximately ,000 per car. "Already," writes Mr. Morley-Brown. "we have subscribed something like 10.000 0,000 and 30,000 50,000 more is required before we can complete the Meet of one hundred motor cars. As they are urgently required at present we placed an order for fifty ears, all of which are now at the front." Mr. Motley-Browns Lexington friend is asking that American sportsmen who feci that they would like to make a contribution to the fund have their bankers forward the sum to Mr. Morley-Brown, "7 St. Bride street.
