Ilealey is modest and : undemonstrative, but after Campfirc. had won the Futurity, Saturday, he was profoundly gratified. It was a victory which seemed to especially appeal to him. He had believed in the colt all along, tint the son of Olamabla and Nightfall had given him much trouble and anxiety earlier in the season. At times he was so lame as to appear on the verge of a breakdown, but what witli slirewd and painstaking handling and management he got him into form, and when he went to the post for the Hopeful he was thoroughly sound and fit.
