KENILW0RTH MEETING PROSPERING WELL. Windsor. Out.. September G. II. L. Crains Star Shoot gelding. Star of Love, proved the winner ot the feature race at Kenilworth today, a handicap at one mile and seventy yards. This horse was well nursed along in the early running by jockey Stearns and won going away from I. A. OMearu s 1cskv. The latter was much used up in racing Little String into defeat on the backstretch and was unable to respond when challenged by Star oi Love. One of the closest finishes of the afternoon was seen in third race when Souvenir just managed to beat Lily Ornie. The latter came with a tremendous rush at the end and would have won in another ten yards. . Jockev Stearns had a successful day in the saddle, riding three winners in succession. A surprise was furnished in the second race when Korfhage beat good opposition. Joe Finn, favorite for the race, was sore while going to the post and finished last. Rough riding at this meeting has been conspicuous by its absence. The riders have all been warned and they apparently have taken heed. The crowd today was again large and speculation heavy. Jockey McEwen was suspended indefinitely for rough riding in the sixtli race and his badge taken away.
