PRESIDENT SCOTT DIES IN ENGLAND. Toronto, Ont., November 20. Advice has just been received from England of the deatli of J. J. Scott, K. C, formerly a member of the provincial parliament for East Hamilton. Mr. Scott, who was in England to see his sou, Capt. Douglass Scott, before the latter left for France, was president of the Hamilton Jockey Club. He was one of Hamiltons wealthy men and had retired from the practice of law several years ago for the sake of travel and for the benefit of his health. A second son, Capt. Cheever Scott, is also In active service with the Canadian forces.
