f i USEFUL EARNINGS OF THE HORSES WHICH RACED THIS YEAR IN THE COLORS OF J. B. RE8PE8S i It was quite in accordance with the fitness of things that a son of Dick Welles should prove the best money winner in the stable of Jerome B. Bespess this year. Dick Welles was the best race horse Res-pess ever owned and jointly the two cut a big figure in Chicago racing of years back. It was here that lie bought the horse and here that most of the displays of his remarkable speed took place. On some of his races the two-year-old Langden was not far from the first flight in Canadian racing, most of Ills money being won in the Nursery Plate at Hamilton and Iroquois Hotel Stakes at Fort Erie. He should prove a useful three-year-old. Casey Jones, Christie, Dignity, Highland Lad and Highland Lassie were all good winners for Mr. Respess and his stable retired into winter quarters with the following record: Horse. Col. and Sex. A.
