BREEDER FRANCIS J. PONS DIES. Nashville, Tenn., November 20. Francis J. Pons, prominent owner and breeder of thoroughbred race horses, died at his home at Madison this morning of pneumonia. Mr. Pons had been connected with the turf for rears and was known throughout the United States. He was at various Canadian tracks during the past summer, and returned home only last week to attend the "breaking In" of a number of yearlings which he intended to race at New Orleans next winter. , . . ., A number of relatives and the immediate family were at the bedside, including O. E. Pons, a brother, and Donald Pons, his son, both of Baltimore: Fox Swift and wife and two other daughters and Mrs. The body was shipped tonight to Jacksonville, Fla.r where funeral services will be held.
