THORNCLIFFE PLANS PROGRESSING. Toronto, Ont., December G. The arrival here on Tuesday of the promoters of the new track at Thorncliffe marked another step in the progress of the plans. Messrs. Berger and Bryan were accompanied by their architect, Fred Wright of Baltimore, and with the representatives of the Davies estate went over the property. They found it what they declared eminently suitable for the purpose, both from tlie point of view of the location and the nature of the soil. It is anticipated that by the end of the week the remaining details between the parties will be agreed on, and the matter closed so that announcement of the racing plans may be made. Just how another meeting can be fitted into a season already pretty well occupied with raeing in Ontario and Quebec is not jet clear, nor is the situation with regard to the position taken by the Horsemens Association, which declared itself not long ago against racing at any track in this Province not then under license. The promoters, however, have not yet progressed far enough in the matter of taking over the property to take up these matters.
