TWO GOOD FINISHES AT JUAREZ TRACK. El Paso, Tex., December 0. The second and fifth races produced the best contests of this afternoons sport at the Juarez track, the winner in each race, while he had a safe margin, being hard pressed to hold his advantage. In the second race Goggety was a slight betting choice over Grays Favorite and managed to defeat the latter, after both had encountered difficulties. Goggety raced on the outside until the stretch was reached, then moved forward into a good lead, but was hard driven to withstand Grays Favorites challenge as soon as the latter got out of close quarters. Grays Favorite had been sharply cut off at one period in the race. In the fiftli race Zia, the third betting favorite, had a still smaller margin in winning from Blarney, the favorite. Tempy Duncan, the second choice, cut a fast pace for a half mile, then Blarney and Zia moved to the front and fought out the finish, the latter getting the verdict by a half length, while Doctor Slack, which had been in the front division throughout, saved third money, Tempy Duncan tiring and finishing last. . Jockey Mack Garner, under contract to Corrigan and McKinney, is attracting attention by his riding. Yesterday Garner piloted three winners and several placed horses. Today he won a race and was placed twice.
