GOGGETY, after racing on the outside early, raced into the lead as they turned for home and successfully resisted the game challenge of GRAYS FAVORITE. The latter was sharply shut off while going to the half by LITTLE BIRDIE and in close quarters until an eighth out. LITTLE BIRDIE showed speed, but tired. VIONA NAIL showed a good turn of speed. PLUIO was forced to fall back a trille as they approached the far turn, quickly made the lost ground up and raced EDNA F. to defeat. EDNA F. ran well, set a fast pace and was hangin- on gamely at the end. KESTREL came from the rear in the last eighth. MACMONDE showed a good "turn of" speed and the race should do him good.
