i . IMPORTED HORSES WILL ARRIVE SOON. New York, December 8. A. K. Macomber expects the arrival of his three English importations not later than Saturday. They are: Kings Joker, a three-year-old; North Star and Wardog, two-year-olds. Oscar Lewisohn has purchased several horses in Europe, which will be here some time this month. Frederick Johnson sent eighteen horses to New Orleans Thursday, in care of Charles Patterson. Charles Borel will do the riding for the Johnson and Billings stable next season. Jere Carroll left yesterday for New Orleans with eleven horses belonging to W. R. Coe. Arrangements have been made with Ed Trotter by which James Rowc, trainer for H. P. Whitney, will have the services of Frank Robinson next year. The rules committee of the Jockey Club was in session yesterday, discussing all the rules, principally the question of two-year-olds racing in the spring. The session will be continued tomorrow, when it is probable some changes in the regulations will be made.
