GOVERNING STEEPLECHASE BODYS RULINGS. Expressions of Sympathy Expressed Over Death of Norman Prince License Committee Busy. New York, December 30. At the recent meeting of the board of stewards of the National Steeplechase and Hunt Association, resolutions were passed expressing sorrow and sympathy over the death of Norman Prince, a valued member of the association and a loyal supporter of steeplechasing. The rules relative to selling races were changed. Hereafter any surplus over the selling price shall go to the association to provide a special fund to be used for relief purposes and medical attention to disabled trainers and jockeys, instead of one-half going to the second horse and the other halt to the race fund. The following jockeys were granted licenses: Beamish, Blake, Brady, Brown, Clark and Hawkins. The ruling of September 17, 1914, against jockey J. Hannigan was lifted and permission to find employment in racing stables granted. The license of jockey J. AVilliams was revoked.
