MANY GIVEN NEW ORLEANS LICENSES. Forty Riders and Over a Hundred Trainers Awarded Permission to Pursue Their Callings. New Orleans, La., December 30. Forty jockeys and one hundred and four trainers were granted licenses at the first meeting of the license committee of the Rusiness Mens Racing Association, held at the Fair Grounds. Many jockeys did not get a license because either they or their contract employer did not make formal application, and they will get permission to ride when this is done. Judge Joseph A. Murphy made it imperative that those who failed to apply in due time would find themselves without a license, and as a result many are in this state. The license committee is composed of judge Murphy, associate judge John R. Campbell, racing secretary Joseph McLennan and patrol judge Herman Conkling. The jockeys licensed, and their contract employers, follow: Jockeys. Contract Employer. J. Rrown F. E. Rrown . C. Rrown C. 3. Thompson C. Rorel O. Patterson W. Crump E. W. Moore F. Cooper It. L.
