HORSES 0F«PR0MINENT CANADIAN TURFMAN. Racing and Breeding Establishment of Lieut. J. K. L. Ross Numbers 28 Head. The horses in the racing and breeding establishment of Lieut. J. K. L. Ross of Montreal are now being gathered by Manager T. J. Bird, following the- eleath of Capt. Presgrave. and last week he-brought up to Montreal four mares, preparatory to their being placed on Mr. Ross farm at Ver-choros. where ho has a property of 7S0 acres, with a frontage on the St. Lawrence of about a mile, tther stock of his own and some that are being :.ce|uirc-d from Capt. The last named six youngsters are Canadian-foaled. Vercheres is eligible for Quebec-bred events, and is said to be the best looking of the band. The others were produced at Mrs. Livingstons PonMuc Farm at Cobourg. The broodmares at Montreal are as follows: Mary Street, by Onondaga — Bonnie Lee; in foal to Bryn Mawr. Brynwood. by Bryn Mawr— Mary Greenwood; in f--.il to Garry Herrmann. Giffcrds. by Chuctaiiunda — Retaliation; in foal to Dalhousie. Misty Morning, by Peep o" Day — Scarlet and Green; in foal to Bryn Mawr. Sou. by Hastings — Souveraine; in foal to Stanhope II. Lingar, by Dublin — Gargle; in foal to Dorante. Audrey Austin, by Migraine — Sally K.; in foal to Bwana Tumbo. The fillies Yellow Sally and Task go to Dal-henisie-. and will be returned to foal in Canada. The former is by Star Shoot — Frances McClelland, and Task is by Bryn Mawr — Tasley.
