COPPER KING BRINGS GOOD PRICE. Scld to J. K. L. Ross of Montreal for Reported Sum of ,500. Ottawa. Que.. January 11 — Ieter Gorman confirmed tlie announcement that he had sold Copper King to J. K. L. Ross of Montreal. The price is said to have h ™ so. 500. Copper King has been shipped to Montreal. The purchase of Copper King reveals one of the most interesting turf stories of a decade. Dapper King was given last year to the Gorman Hrothers by the late apt. 1resgrave. who was trainer for Mr. Ross. Cnder the care of trainer "Mike" Gorman tie Howling Green — Tarlatan gel-ling developed remarkably consistent form. Copper King WM foaled at Mrs. L. A. Living-tons Cobourg lartn and was bought as a yearling by Mr. Ross. The deal for Copper King was concluded by T. J. Hird. Mr. Ross new trnjnag, who came to Ottawa lor the purpose.
