CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF. Foreclosure proceedings are under way by stockholders of the Coney Island Jockey Club against the Sheopshead Bay Speedway Corporation. The interest amounting to about 0,000 on mortgages has not been paid. This mayv mean that the old Com y Island track will probably again become the property of the Coney Island Jockey Club. There has lieen a misundersranding between E. B. McLean and Lewis Garth, trainer of his jumpcis, which may result in a change ot trainers for neit SI :SOIl. Complying with the law which became operative January 1. all the stallions placed throughout this state by the Breeding Bureau have been examined and pronounced sound by government veterinarians. Ex-jockey Bob Gilmore. who rode at the old Crescent City Jockey Club course some years ago. and who is known to old-time racegoer.; of New Orleans, is clocking at the Fair Grounds.
