WORK IN THE OPEN AIR AT LEXINGTON. Lexington. Ky.. March 20.- Spring training over the Kentucky Association track began in earnest today. Tin- weather being balmy and the track lair. The Kentucky Derby candidates Weaty Hogan. Skeptic. Bufoid and Waterfoid commanded attention and elicited comment. They look good, Weaty Hogan especially so. T. C. McDowell worked his two year-olds quartern in from twenty-six to twenty seven seconds. Manager Waite. looking good, worked a half in 54--,. J. O. Kecnc sent Yermila, Katenka and Private three-efarhtha in -mi. .lack A.lkins indulged Leo Skolny and Faux Col with three -eighths in 43. Howard Oeta had out his English two year olds and they aaorcd as if they may prove a worthy band. Callahcr Brothers showed several good looking two ear -olds aad so did .1. C. Milam. The] g:il loped at the rate of three eighths in 41. CarteQ Shilling arrived this morning from Tijuana to take up Neptus and a two year old by leep •Day Katie D. He says the Lower California .loeke.v Clubs meeting has been a big success. Biddy and Conning Tower will arrive here from Tijuana. April 1.
