CONTINUE RACING IN RUSSIA. Not only is racing going on in Russia throughout the war, but since last December the Russian government has spent something like 20,000 guineas in this country in the purchase of bloodstock, which included Carancho, Figaro and Blackadder, none of which they would have touched but for their racing records, gained since the war begun. Nor is this due to the recent government of Russia alone, for the present authorities have in no way broken the continuity of the well-considered policy. — London Sportsman.
