New York, June 20. — August Belmonts three-year-old Deer Trap worked a mile and a quarter in 2:11% before the rnees at Jamaica today in preparation for the Southampton Handicap, which will be run Saturday. The fractions were: 24%, 50%, 1:17, 1:44%. He wore blinkers and jockey Butwell had the leg up. It was au encouraging trial considering he is not a work horse. i
