PLENTIFUL RACING IN NEW ZEALAND The reduction of racing dates in New Zealand docs not, evidently, mean any scarcity of opportunities for the sport in that country, which is said to be, in all matters respecting the public welfare, far in advance of any other in the world. The final adjustment made between the clubs in pursuance of the decision to cut down took effect the first of this month. There will, under the new arrangement, be 148 days for running races during the coming year, and thirty-nine days for trotting, compared with fifty-nine last year.
